Mission Earth First is about linking underground space and outer space. Misson Earth First is composed of a strong multi-disciplinary partner network. The partners jointly represent the necessary know-how of innovation, inspiration and demonstration of underground spaces. Together with new partners from the space industry, we aim to find new ways to make life on our planet and future space missions resilient, sustainable, and future-proof.

Hagerbach test gallery
Hagerbach Test Gallery looks back on 50 years of successful underground space development and research. The unique, 5.5 km long infrastructure network with its various rock formations, surfaces, galleries, tunnels and installations is optimal to test, analyse, train and demonstrate under full-scale conditions. It is also the perfect environment to innovate underground applications and technologies and to get inspired for the future.

ITACUS
The International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association’s Committee on Underground Space (ITACUS) has been advocating the use of urban underground space for over a decade. The urban underground provides solutions for helping cities achieve manifold challenges, such as against climate change, natural disasters and urban density. Hagerbach offers ITACUS a home where it can demonstrate the validity of developing urban underground spaces.

SCAUT
The Swiss Centre of Applied Underground Technologies (SCAUT) is the world’s leading competency centre for the use of the underground space. It relies on high-end engineering, innovative solutions and most advanced ICT to make a substantial contribution to the creation of underground spaces for the future and to provide relief for metropolises and highly populated urban areas.

The Arch Mission Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation designed to continuously preserve and disseminate humanity’s most important knowledge across time and space for the benefit of future civilizations.
We build and maintain ultra long-term data storage archives called Arch Libraries (pronounced “Ark”).

Pararaum
Studio Pararaum, an international partnership established by Meng Li and Linda Zhang, is an award-winning design, art and architecture studio based in Zürich and Toronto. We consider our practice to be a provocation of space’s capacity to communicate through felt experience—affect as a design process towards lived experience.
Next Gen Village Association
We are a Swiss-based non-profit association with the purpose of creating positive visions and new models for regenerative future societies, and of prototyping systemic innovations in a living lab environment. Behind it is an interdisciplinary team with backgrounds in environmental sciences, urban planning, economics, web3, design, communications, and philosophy.
